What is Albumy?
Albumy is client gallery and studio software for wedding photographers and videographers. You deliver the photos and the film together in one gallery, and every original stays at full resolution. Guests tap their own face to see their photos, and add their own by scanning a QR code. The rest of the studio sits behind the same login: contracts with e-signatures, payment requests, paid gallery hosting, a print store (in beta), and Instagram tools for planning and designing your posts.
Albumy Pro vs Pic-Time vs ShootProof: which is best for wedding photographers?
Pick Albumy Pro if you deliver photos and film together and want guest face search, QR uploads, contracts, client payments and paid gallery hosting in one $33/month plan. Pick Pic-Time if print and album sales are where you make most of your money today. Pick ShootProof if you want a long-established platform with contracts, invoices and commission-free prints. Does Albumy have contracts, invoices and a CRM, or do I need HoneyBook too?
Most studios don't need a separate CRM. Albumy includes contracts with e-signatures and your own templates, invoices and payment schedules for retainers, balances and add-ons, a client list with every shoot, and inquiries from your studio website landing in the same dashboard. Shoots sync to Google, Apple or Outlook calendars. Clients pay invoices by card or US bank account through Stripe; you're the merchant of record, and Albumy keeps 1.5% of each payment, with Stripe's processing fee charged separately. Online booking isn't available yet.
Can I earn money from gallery hosting with Albumy?
Yes. Once the hosting period you include runs out, clients can pay to keep their gallery online for 1, 3 or 5 more years. You set the prices and keep 85% of every sale. If nobody renews, the gallery goes offline instead of being deleted, and nothing is removed without at least 30 days of warnings.
Can I sell prints with Albumy?
The print store is in private beta. Couples order canvas, framed and fine-art prints, plus cards and gifts, straight from their gallery. You set your prices and keep the profit, and paid plans pay no commission. Orders ship within the US for now, and a wider launch is planned for 2027. If your studio hasn't been added yet, the store stays hidden until it is.
Does Albumy help with Instagram and marketing?
Yes, from the dashboard. Studio has 111 templates for Stories, posts, carousels and Reels that fill with your own photos, and Describe it turns a sentence into three AI designs built from your albums. Albumy also picks the photos your clients responded to most, drafts captions in your voice, gives you a weekly plan with a good time to post, builds a link-in-bio page and helps you ask recent couples for reviews. Connect Instagram to see what's working; Albumy only reads your account through Instagram's official API, and never posts for you.
Can couples make their own posts from their Albumy gallery?
Yes. From their gallery, couples design Stories, posts, carousels and Reels with 78 templates, 33 of them written in the couple's own voice, plus a collage maker and wedding stickers. Every design carries a "Photos by" credit with your studio name and Instagram handle, so each post they share points their friends back to you. Their drafts stay on their own phone.
Does Albumy include a website?
Yes. Every studio gets a portfolio website at your-name.albumy.pro, built from your own albums, with an inquiry form that lands in your Albumy dashboard. Galleries and the website share your logo and colors. Custom domains are temporarily unavailable.
What support does Albumy offer?
Email support at [email protected] goes straight to the founder, not a ticket queue, and that includes help moving your galleries from Pixieset, ShootProof, Pic-Time or SmugMug. The 90-day trial needs no card, so you can deliver a real wedding before you pay.
Can I export my photos if I leave Albumy?
Yes. Every photo and video is stored exactly as you uploaded it, and you and your clients can download whole albums at full resolution whenever you like. Clients can also send an album straight to Google Photos. Nothing is locked in.
What is Albumy Pro?
Albumy Pro is the $33/month plan for working studios. It includes 1.5TB of photo storage, 250GB of video storage, 250GB of monthly delivery, three team seats, retained originals and 1080p adaptive streaming. It's a plan of the Albumy client gallery at albumy.pro, not Album Studio Pro (album design software) or MyAlbum Pro (a photo-book tool).
Is there a storage limit on Albumy?
Yes. Photos and video have separate quotas. Starter has 350GB of photos and 50GB of video. Pro has 1.5TB and 250GB. Studio has unlimited photos (5TB fair use) and 500GB of video.
Can I move to Albumy from Pixieset or ShootProof?
Yes. Export your galleries from Pixieset, ShootProof, SmugMug, Pic-Time or wherever they live now, and upload them to Albumy. The 90-day trial gives you time to run both side by side, and support will help if you get stuck.
Does Albumy support video?
Yes. Films play beside the photos with adaptive 1080p, 720p and 480p streaming, so they run well on a phone with a weak signal. Your original file is kept, and older originals can take up to 48 hours to prepare for download.
How much does Albumy cost?
Starter is $13/month or $129/year, Pro is $33/month or $329/year, and Studio is $79/month or $799/year. The 90-day trial gives you Pro with up to 100GB of photos and 10GB of video, and no card is needed to start.
How does guest photo collection work?
